About this role
Beer Ocean – Beer & BBQ, located on Strand Road, Myeik, is looking for three female Kitchen Assistants to join our restaurant team.
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals who have basic cooking skills, including food presentation, preparing fried and stir-fried dishes, salads, and traditional pounded dishes.
Previous professional work experience is not required. However, applicants must have basic practical cooking skills and be willing to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking various dishes according to instructions.
Prepare and arrange food with attractive presentation while maintaining cleanliness and quality.
Prepare fried dishes, stir-fried dishes, salads, and traditional pounded dishes according to restaurant standards.
Wash, cut, and prepare vegetables, meat, seafood, and other cooking ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Follow food safety and hygiene practices during food preparation and handling.
Assist with proper storage of ingredients and minimize food waste.
Work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the head chef or restaurant management.
Requirements
Female applicants only.
Must be under 25 years of age.
Must be single (unmarried).
Must have basic reading and writing skills.
Must be free from ongoing school or academic commitments and available for full-time employment.
Must be willing and able to live and dine on the restaurant premises (live-in position).
Must have basic food presentation and plating skills.
Must be able to prepare basic fried and stir-fried dishes.
Must be able to prepare various salads and traditional Myanmar pounded dishes.
No previous professional work experience is required, but basic practical cooking skills are essential.
Must maintain good kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
Must be hardworking, responsible, and willing to learn.
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be available to work according to assigned shifts.
Must be punctual, patient, and able to follow kitchen instructions.
